Brazil Bucket List

As I'm sitting waiting for bball practice to start I was sucked in to the black hole (aka Pinterest).  We are starting to plan our first trips in Brazil and I made a board for places to go.

Oh my gosh, I cannot wait.  I mean really, do I have to work? Can't I just teach remotely from here...
Lopez Mendez Beach, Ilha Grande, Brazil

Or we could go on a field trip here and do a science experiment. Serious wedgie factor.
Don't think I'll do this, but maybe a smaller one... Located in Brazil. Name of this slide is called The Insano. The Insano is the highest water slide in the world at 41 meters high, a record listed in the Guinness Book of Records. Its height is equivalent to that of a 14-storey building.

I mean I guess I could go here...(totally already planning this)
Iguassu Falls, Argentina/Brazil

Our first two trips are of course going to be Sao Paulo and Rio

My vote is to stay here in a couple weekends, I mean it's only 45 minutes away but I think we should just stay the night ...
Red hot pool at Hotel Unique in São Paulo #Brazil (1st time: 2007)

And say what's up to JC in Rio
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

I could go on and on, but seriously I love being able to travel.  Where would you go in Brasil?

Who's coming to visit first?

Our Neighborhood Market

Every weekend since we've been in Brasil Jess has gone to the local Saturday market for our food for the week. He enjoys using all his senses and practicing his Portuguese, I on the other hand enjoy the bed and my pillow (and FB who am I kidding!) more.

This weekend I decided to join him and document it.  I'm totally going back, it was so fun!

All the fruit here is so delicious

This is how we dress for winter here...

 Fresh tamales anyone?

Our salmon (we took the smaller piece!)

Fresh ovos (eggs)

I would have taken more pictures, but my camera's battery died.  I'm trying to be better about taking pictures, guess I need to be more prepared!

From Miss to Mrs.

I knew this summer was going to be crazy busy as we were moving from China to Brasil and getting married somewhere in between.  What I didn't know is how amazing it would be.  Before we left China Jess and I talked about enjoying each moment and not stressing about the little things.  I'm happy to say we did just that and doing that made our summer amazing.

I could go on and on about the summer, but will just leave you with some special pictures and words about the day we became one.  I was never one of those girls that dreamed about their wedding day.  Of course I wanted one and wanted it to be beautiful, but I guess I just more thought about the man I would be marrying.  My mom was amazing in planning all the little details and we were so happy with how everything turned out.  A huge thanks to our wonderful and fun photographers Josh and Aaron of Joshuaaaronphotography for the wonderful preview pictures!  I highly recommend them!

Us before the ceremony...I love how one of the clouds is like a heart!

Next stop... Brasil

Jess is the most amazing person I have ever met.  He is so thoughtful and encouraging and daily puts my needs in front of his own.  He challenges me in my walk with the Lord and motivates me to be a better person.  I can be myself with him and not have to worry about being judged.  He makes me so incredibly happy and shows me he loves me in a multitude of ways.  Just yesterday at a Churrasco a new colleague had for us he was like a personal waiter, taking care of my every need.  I'm so blessed to have him as a husband and can't wait for the rest of our lives together.
