ELEA HOLBROOK 7 MONTHS

7 MONTHS
September 12, 2017

 Height: ?? inches
Weight:?? pounds

Likes:
  • Crawling!  Rolling everywhere
  • Cooing and making the cutest sounds ever
  • Eating--cereal, fruit, carrots
  • Laughing at her big brother
  • Daddy walking in the room
  • Amei
  • Being flipped upside down

  • Still likes...
  • Baths!
  • Mornings

Dislikes:
  • Not getting what she wants!

Sleep
  • Is able to self-sooth (most of the time)
  • On a more consistent nap schedule
  • Sleeps 7 PM- 6 AM most nights, with the occasional feeding around 1:00 AM

Eating:
  • Drinking mostly formula, I still nurse her first thing in the morning and before bedtime, and occasionally when she wakes up at night.
  • Ate dragonfruit, bananas, carrots, and rice cereal
  • Loves gnawing on fruit in her fruit pouch (cantaloup and watermelon are her favorite)
  • Loves to try and feed herself (hence the messy faces below)

Favorite Moments:
  • Watching Tae and Elea interact is my favorite.  I also loved watching her learn how to crawl.  She is getting faster every single day.  She loves following Tae around, but can't keep up quite yet.  She will get there though.  I also love coming home from work and just holding her close and breathing her in.

Firsts:
  • Two teeth on the bottom!
  • Crawling
  • Typhoon (Hato)...we all got a day off from school

Mommy Thoughts:
I feel like a broken record because I keep saying it, but this mom thing just gets better and better.  Watching your children grow, learn, and develop each day is such a blessing and a miracle. Elea's personality is starting to show, and I have a feeling she is going to be strong willed. I love every second I am with her and stalk her every move to see what she is going to do next.  Her sweet coos and little laughs are music to my ears and her smile makes my heart explode.  God knew what he was doing giving us this precious girl.  We love you Elea Holbrook!

TAE TALKS

Our first week here the school provided childcare at school so we could focus in our meetings.  Tae didn't do too well, he knew we were in the room next door so would cry loudly (anyone who knows him knows how LOUD this is) and then they would bring him to me.  At the end of our session I held him and asked what was wrong. His reply, "People."

When Elea starts to cry he runs over to her and says, "It's okay Elea. Don't cry."

Anytime we see a new person Tae says, "Ni hao!" (hello) or "Xie xie" (thank you) with a big old smile on his face.
